I don't talk about this on Instagram

But it's too important to not mention here

I would say I am super comfortable talking about sex, sexuality, & sexual health over a cup of coffee, in a classroom, or even to a group of 500 people. But the one place where I tend to bite my tongue and refuse to give my 2 cents on certain sex topics is social media.

Here’s the thing about Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok → these are all borrowed spaces. This means I agree to the terms and conditions that these social media companies have set forth and if I violate their community guidelines, they can easily terminate my account. And I don’t want that to happen of course!

One of the topics I refrain from discussing on social media is porn. It’s a subject that flags for a number of reasons, including the obvious, but is also heavily scrutinized even when discussed for educational purposes.

But it’s a really important topic in the sex talks!

And just because I don’t feel comfortable to talk about it on social media, that doesn’t mean you should skip The Porn Talk in your home! I want you to start getting prepared for this important talk - especially if you’ve got a kid in the middle school age (ages 10,11,12). Here’s why⤵️
